Civil Litigation – How Does It Work?
Civil litigation is a legal process used to settle disputes between people, businesses, or other entities through the court system. Civil litigation matters can cover contract issues, personal injuries, property disputes, or workplace problems.
In a civil case, the plaintiff initiates the action by filing a legal complaint outlining their grievances against the defendant. The defendant then provides a reply, and the legal process progresses through stages such as discovery and negotiation. It may eventually result in a trial before a judge or jury, followed by a verdict or settlement.
